CPD Precast Evening Series – January / February 2008
In January and February of 2008 the Irish Precast Concrete Association, in conjunction with Engineers Ireland, ran a series of evening courses aimed at Architects, Engineers and those lecturing to Architects, Engineers and other 3rd level construction related courses.
The course consisted of 12 one hour lectures held over six evenings. Those attending were given a broad introduction to the design philosophy and principles, systems and applications, Precast detailing, structural stability, and key issues such as fire resistance and Sustainability. The course also delivered an excellent understanding of Precast Concrete and the benefits of prefabrication.
