Ground Limestone Producers Association of Ireland (GLPAI)

The Ground Limestone Producers Association of Ireland is a representative body of 15 member companies operating in 30 quarry locations in the Republic of Ireland, and all of which manufacture and sell ground limestone to farmers throughout the country.

The members of the Ground Limestone Producers Association of Ireland are committed to promoting the many benefits of ground limestone, otherwise known as agricultural lime, to the farming community in Ireland. The association also works with other stakeholder organisations including the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine and Teagasc as part of its ongoing efforts to increase the knowledge of the benefits of lime in Ireland.

All of the members of the Ground Limestone Producers Association of Ireland are licenced by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to manufacture and sell ground limestone for use as a soil conditioner in Ireland. In addition, all of the members of the association are authorised to promote and sell their agricultural lime under the Grolime trademark. There are important criteria which must be met by companies using the Grolime trade mark and eligibility for its use is strictly enforced by Grolime Ltd. The Ground Limestone Producers Association of Ireland is also a member of the Fertilizer Association of Ireland.
